The Fiat Dino is a sports car that was introduced by Fiat in the spring of 1966 on the occasion of the one hundredth birthday of the company’s founder Giovanni Agnelli. First appeared the convertible called Spider, which was followed in the spring of 1967 by the coupe. Hardly any other car combines racing car genes, design elegance and granturismo qualities as perfectly as a Fiat Dino Spider. It was built from 1966 to 1973, first as a two-liter, later as a 2.4-liter version.

Hardly any other car combines racing car genes, design elegance and granturismo qualities as perfectly as a Fiat Dino Spider. It was built from 1966 to 1973, first as a two-liter, later as a 2.4-liter version.
The Fiat Dino 2000 Spider were built from 1967 to 1968 in 424 copies. The design came from Pininfarina. The V-six cylinder (65 degrees) was longitudinally mounted as a front engine and had a displacement of 1,987 cc, producing 160 hp at 8,000 rpm and a max torque of 184 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Mixture preparation was by three Weber downdraft twin carburetors. The car shown here was painted in the original Bianco color.
One of the outstanding features of the Fiat Dino 2000 Spider was its Pininfarina-designed body. The car had a sleek, low-slung profile with a long hood and short rear deck. It had a minimalist design with simple, clean lines and a timeless elegance that still looks stunning today. The Dino 2000 Spider had a retractable soft top that could be easily opened or closed depending on the weather.
The Fiat Dino 2000 Spider was very well received by the trade press when it first appeared. It was praised for its beautiful design, powerful engine and pleasant driving experience. However, the car was not without its weaknesses. The Dino 2000 Spider was prone to rust, which could compromise the structural integrity of the car over time. It was also not as reliable as some of its competitors, and obtaining replacement parts for the Ferrari-built engine could be difficult and expensive.
Today, the Fiat Dino 2000 Spider is considered a classic sports car that is highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts. Its beautiful design, powerful engine, and Ferrari pedigree make it a desirable addition to any collection. However, finding one in good condition can be difficult, and prices can vary widely depending on the car’s condition and history.
