The W 120 or W 121 was the first passenger car from Mercedes- Benz with a self-supporting body. While Mercedes itself only produced the four-door sedan, the coachbuilder Binz produced station wagons, among other things, which were sold by Mercedes dealers. This vehicle form was largely unknown in Europe at the time!

This Mercedes Ponton station wagon was first delivered to New York in May 1960. Order and data card are available. In 2008 the car was re-imported and in 2010/2011 it was completely restored from the body shell with the greatest effort. The total investment far exceeds the asking price. It is rare to have the opportunity to acquire one of the rare civilian Ponton station wagons – moreover with a large sunroof – in such an elaborately restored condition.
